Artists play a key role in influencing and enhancing our appreciation of the world. This has been true throughout our past, and now, with our world becoming more fragile and the loss of habitat increasingly more devastating, we see artists and photographers, nature lovers and others joining forces to convey the importance of providing and preserving refuge for those who share our world.
Together, we all try to help! Please join us!

Two Life-size bronze Sandhill Cranes against a background of sculpted limestone stylized stalks of corn, have been installed near the Visitor Center at the Bosque. The installation was commissioned as a tribute to former Senior Biologist John Taylor, who passed away at the age of 49 in September 2004, cutting short a 19 year career dedicated to serving the wildlife of the Bosque. Socorro Artist Sharon Fullingim donated her time and talent to create the bronze and limestone art piece. Sharon Fullingim Sharon is well known for her wonderful tinted etchings of birds and wildlife as well as her stone and bronze sculptures.
