CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR 2008
Bosque del Apache, NWR Festival of the Cranes Photography Contest

Prizes being awarded by the Friends of Bosque del Apache
Images shall be taken within the confines of Bosque del Apache, NWR

There are nine categories, three for each division.
Divisions are: Professional, Amateur, and Youth
Categories are: Color Print, B&W Print, and Manipulated Prints

PROFESSIONAL:
Anyone who derives a significant portion of his or her income from photography
Prints may be up to 16 X 20" and must be mounted on 16 X 20" board or in a 16 X 20 Mat.
No frames! No identification of maker may be on the front of the image.
AMATEUR:
Images taken for love of photography, not money, and for one’s own satisfaction.
Prints may be up to 11 X 14 and must be mounted on 11 X14" board or in a 11 X 14 Mat.
No Frames! No identification of maker may be on the front of the image.
YOUTH:
Anyone 16 and younger as of January 1, 2008
Prints may be up to 11 X 14" and must be mounted on 11 X14” board or in a 11 X 14 Mat.
No Frames! No identification of maker may be on the front of the image.
Footnote: Our display is not flexible, therefore 11 X 14 or 16 X 20 are the only sizes acceptable.
* A minimum number of prints may be required to make up any category.

RECORDING METHOD: Either film or digitally recorded images are acceptable and will be judged together. Manipulated prints (digital or traditional) will be judged in that category (see below **)
LABEL & STATEMENT ON EACH & EVERY ENTRY: Include name, address, phone number,
photographer's age & category. This information must be placed on the back of the photograph with an arrow to indicate the top of the photo. **Include a statement specifying if the image has been manipulated, extremely enhanced or grossly changed in any manner.
LIABILITIES: Festival of the Cranes will take every precaution to assure the safety of your photograph(s). The Festival of the Cranes is not responsible for loss or damage to any photos. Include adequate protective packaging.
ENTRY FEE(S): 4 for $20.00; $10.00 each thereafter … up to 10 entries maximum. Students are at half price. Fees will be paid by check and payable to "The Festival of the Cranes."
DEADLINE: Entries must be received by 5pm, Friday, November 8, 2008

SUBMISSIONS: Submissions or entries, which are intended to be returned via USPS, must include a return address label and adequate postage. Entries to be returned, but lacking adequate postage, will NOT be judged. Entries may also be picked up at 3108 Monte Vista Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
