- NEW!: We are proud to announce updates to our exciting website for our Mapping The Rio Watershed Education Project. The Friends of the Bosque del Apache NWR are dedicated to education, and this is our main ongoing educational project. We guarantee you will enjoy seeing what's happening though the web site. There are photos and beautiful and heartfelt poems about the river by Elementary School kids. Mapping the Rio Grande,Rio Grande Watershed Curriculum Elementary School Education Project, is a fun and innovative program, which has met with great acclaim (kids LOVE it!) We Thank you and need your continued support so that the project will flourish and kids will know and love the refuge, the birds, the wildlife and the river.
