Friends of the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge
In the heart of Central America, Costa Rica is a lush and vibrant paradise for birders. It is one of the New World's prime migratory corridors and home to a myriad of residents. Of North America's songbirds, about 255 species are neotropical migrants, many of which we will seek to observe on their wintering grounds. Our journey will take us to the lowland rain forest, Arenal Volcano and the Pacific coast. With the possibility to see 350-400 species on this 15 day adventure, a wide mix of formal and informal activities, discussions and birding observation will provide a balanced natural history birding adventure. Join the Friends of the Bosque del Apache NWR in Costa Rica- a tropical paradise!
